Reith bei Kitzbuehel, Tirol, municipality in the district of 
Kitzbuehel, alt. 762 m, pop. 1,428 (1981: pop. 1,209), area 
15.65 km%%sup 2/%, bi-seasonal tourism (112,338 overnight stays 
in 1992), situated in the valley of the Reither Ache river, north-west 
of Kitzbuehel. - Culture centre. Baroque parish church (1729-1731) 
with ceiling frescoes, Gothic tower and old processional cross 
(14%%sup th/%  century), Muenichau Castle (built 15%%sup th/%  
century). Customs: During a special service on the morning of New 
Year´s Eve the farmers ask for the blessing of their livestock, 
represented by carved animals.
