Reith bei Seefeld, Tirol, municipality in the district of 
Innsbruck-Land, alt. 1,130 m, pop. 882, area 
20.92 km%%sup 2/%, bi-seasonal tourism (152,370 overnight stays 
in 1992), situated above the Inntal valley, at the southwestern foot 
of the Reither Spitze mountain (2,374 m). Since around 1350, 
extraction of mineral oil from oil shale; manufacture of ichthammol 
preparations in the Maximilianshuette Ichthyol factory. - Parish 
church (19%%sup th/%  century); in Leithen, houses with façade 
paintings.
