!!!Richter, Ferdinand Tobias

Richter, Ferdinand Tobias, b. July 22, 1651, 
d. Vienna, Nov. 3, 1711, composer, organist. Born into a family of 
organists, from 1683 organist at the imperial court in Vienna, music 
teacher to the children of Leopold I. best known for his 
compositions for keyboard instruments and his oratorios and Jesuit 
dramas. Together with J. J.  Froberger and Georg  Muffat among 
the main representatives of the Vienna school of organists. His 
son Anton Karl R. (b. 1690, d. Nov. 11, 1763) was also court 
organist from 1718 to 1751.

11 Jesuit dramas, 2 operas, 4 oratorios, church music, keyboard 
music.
