Riedler, Alois, b. Graz (Styria), May 15, 1850, 
d. Semmering (Lower Austria), Oct. 25, 1936, engineer. 1866-1871 
studied mechanical engineering at the University of Technology in 
Graz, 1888-1921 professor of mechanical engineering at the University 
of Technology Berlin-Charlottenburg; as an experienced engineer and 
spokesman of the engineers´ movement was an opponent of the 
theoretician F. Reuleaux.
