Ringel, Franz, b. Graz (Styria), April 1, 1940, painter and
graphic artist. 1960-1965 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in
Vienna; from 1968 member of the group of artists called
"Wirklichkeiten", which also included P. Pongratz and K.
Kocherscheidt. The main themes of his works are the human body and the
human psyche (also psychopathology).
