Rosar, Annie, b. Vienna, May 17, 1888, 
d. Vienna, Aug. 5, 1963, (film) actress. 1910/11 stage debut at the 
Lustspieltheater of J.  Jarno in Vienna, then performed in Munich, 
Berlin and Hamburg (young heroines). 1917-1923 at the Burgtheater, 
1925-1938 at the Theater in der Josefstadt (artistic turning point: 
simple and popular characters); 1939-1944 and 1947-1951 at the German 
Volkstheater (comic characters), 1945-1947 at the Buergertheater, 
1953-1963 guest performances. From 1930 film, radio and television; 
recital evenings (antique tragedies).
