Roth-Limanowa, Josef (real name: J. Roth von Limanowa-Lapanów), b. Trieste (Italy), Oct. 22, 1859, 
d. Vienna, April 9, 1927, officer (colonel general from 1918). During 
World War I division commander, then commander of the 14th corps 
at the Eastern front; 1914 victory at Limanowa-Lapanów; 1916 
defence commander of the Tyrol and commander of the 20th corps in 
South Tyrol, from February 1918 general inspector of military schools.
