Ruiss, Gerhard, b. Ziersdorf (Lower Austria), May 29, 1951, 
author. 1969-1978 worked as typesetter and repro photographer; since 
then freelance author, cultural journalist, musician and director; 
since 1982 business manager of the writers´ association 
Interessengemeinschaft oesterreichischer Autorinnen und Autoren (IG 
Autoren). Has published poetry, essays and numerous nonfiction books 
about literature in Austria.
