Saenger, Eugen, b. Přísečnice, Czech Republic (then Pressnitz near  Komotau), Sept. 22, 1905, 
d. Berlin (Germany), Feb. 10, 1964, rocket engineer. As a student in 
Vienna and Graz he experimented with liquid-propellant rockets before 
1935, from 1936 developed high-pressure combustors and ramjet engines 
in Germany. From 1963 held the first chair in space technology at the 
University of Technology in Berlin.
