SGP Verkehrstechnik GmbH, a company manufacturing rail vehicles formed 
in the wake of re-structuring measures in  nationalised industry 
carried out by  Oesterreichische Industrieholding AG (OeIAG) The 
company in its present form emerged in 1989  from the traditional 
Simmering-Graz-Pauker-AG. In 1992  Siemens AG Oesterreich acquired 26% 
of its shares and in 1994 increased its participation to 74 %;  
in 1992 the company was re-named  Siemens SGP Verkehrstechnik GmbH.
