STUAG Bau-AG, road construction business founded in 1928, taken over 
in 1976 by the Oesterreichische Laenderbank bank, 1989-1991 gradually 
taken over by C. Schwemberger-Swarovski and E. Froeschl. Since 1999 
wholly owned by  STRABAG Oesterreich AG and thus part of the Bau 
Holding AG group; merged with STRABAG Bau Holding AG in 2000 ( Bau 
Holding STRABAG AG). Was active in all branches of the building trade 
(construction of roads, residential buildings and other structural and 
civil engineering projects). 1997: 5,371 employees, ATS 
9,780 million turnover.
