Sassmann, Hanns, b. Vienna, June 30, 1924, 
d. Graz (Styria), June 15, 1997, journalist and publisher. 1949-1951 
editor of the Catholic weekly journal "Die Wende", 1951 joined Styria 
publishers; after working for foreign newspapers and book publishers 
he returned to Styria publishers in 1954, from 1959 director of the 
newspaper publishing branch, 1968-1994 managing director; 1976-1994 
editor of the weekly magazine "Die  Furche".
