Satteins, Vorarlberg, municipality in the district of Feldkirch, alt. 
495 m, pop. 2,240, area 12.71 km%%sup 2/%, situated on the 
northern edge of the Walgau valley. - Production of textiles, 
knit-wear and hosiery, plastic recycling. - First documented mention 
in 842; Classicist parish church (1822-1824) with high altar (1827), 
side altars (around 1750), Gothic tabernacle (around 1460), St. 
Sebastian chapel with Gothic high altar reredos (around 1510-1520), 
altar paintings (1570) and Gothic baptismal font; ruins of 
Schwarzenhorn Castle.
