Sattler Textil Werke, Styrian family business, founded in 1875 by 
August Sattler, developed into one of the main manufacturers of heavy 
textiles in Europe. The factories in Rudersdorf (Burgenland) and 
Graz-Thonhof employ approximately 480 persons and produce over 
15 million m%%sup 2/% of fabrics annually; in 1993 the firm 
posted consolidated sales of ATS 850 million and exported 87 % of 
its goods.
