studied law, judge and politician (Austrian People´s Party, 
OeVP). 1978-1982 chairman of the Burgenland Austrian People´s 
Party and deputy Landeshauptmann of Burgenland, 1982-1986 member of 
the Landtag of Burgenland, 1986-1993 again deputy Landeshauptmann.
