!!!Sausal

Sausal, Styria, hill country between Sulm and Lassnitz, composed of 
Palaeozoic layers of shale and slate, part of the central Styrian 
shelf (Sausal shelf) which separates the East and West Styrian Basins; 
cultivation of wine, sweet (Spanish) chestnuts, fancy fruits and 
pumpkins. Main towns are St. Nikolai im Sausal in the north and 
Kitzeck im Sausal in the south. Highest peak: Demmerkogel mountain 
(671 m), with look-out point. Characteristic for the region is 
the  "Klapotetz".
