the Jesuit Order, from 1952 taught social ethics and social science at 
Innsbruck University, from 1967 at the Papal University Gregoriana in 
Rome; key advisor for the papal encyclicals on social issues "Laborem 
exercens" and "Sollicitudo rei Socialis" and on the formulation of the 
pastoral letter of the Austrian bishops on social issues. Numerous 
publications.
