Strnad et al.; his woodcuts of scenes taken from industry and the daily life of workers appeared in Social Democratic publications; most important illustrator of the association of book printers "Buechergilde Gutenberg", acquainted with the working people´s poet J. Luitpold. 1934 ban on publications for the Buechergilde, 1938 banned from writing, 1944/45 concentration camp; after his release returned to work in Vienna. !Works illustrations, e.g. to J.
