Schauenstein, Adolf, b. Graz (Styria), Dec. 4, 1827, 
d. Graz (Styria), Oct. 16, 1891, forensic scientist. First professor 
of state and forensic pharmacology (1863) at the University of Graz. 
Important figure in forensic toxicology, from 1871 president of the 
Board of Health for Styria.
