Scheiblingkirchen-Thernberg, Lower Austria, market town in the 
district of Neunkirchen, alt. 373 m, pop. 1,842, area 
37.84 km%%sup 2/%, situated near the confluence of the 
Schlattenbach stream and the river Pitten in the Bucklige Welt region. 
- Construction companies. - Parish church, Romanesque circular 
structure built before 1164, part above the wreath-like cornice added 
in 1656; ring-shaped cemetery wall with crenels around the church; 
ruins of Tuerkensturz Castle. In Thernberg, Romanesque parish church 
(12%%sup th/%  century) with Renaissance gravestones; Baroque column 
dedicated to the Holy Trinity (1714); castle ruins with Romanesque 
tower (first documented mention in 1147); Neues Schloss palace (1774).
