Scheu, Josef Franz Georg, b. Vienna, Sept. 15, 1841, 
d. Vienna, Oct. 12, 1904, composer, choirmaster, brother of Andreas  
Scheu, father of Gustav  Scheu and Robert  Scheu. 1868 composed the 
"Lied der Arbeit" and wrote works for male-voice choirs. Co-founder of 
the Austrian Association of Musicians and of the publication 
"Musikerzeitung".
