!!!Scheuchenstein

Scheuchenstein, Lower Austria, part of the municipality of Miesenbach 
in the district of Wiener Neustadt, alt. 556 m, situated between 
the Duerre and Hohe Wand mountains within the limits of the 
municipality of Miesenbach. - Gothic parish church redesigned in 
Baroque style with a painting by L. Kupelwieser (around 1850), Gothic 
choirs and a Baroque nave; grave of the painter F. Gauermann in the 
church; Gauermann´s birthplace including a memorial and a museum 
in Miesenbach. Castle ruins (first documented mention in 1304); the 
castle was abandoned in the 17%%sup th/%  century.
