!!!Schickh, Josef Kilian

b. Vienna, Jan. 7, 1799, 
d. Vienna, May 22, 1851. Dramatist and civil servant. 1831-1845 in the 
Universal-Cameral-Zahlamt office, then worked for the 
Universal-Staats- und Banco-Schulden-Casse bank. Wrote more than 70 
dialect folk plays for the popular theatres in the suburbs of Vienna 
and is regarded as one of the main representatives of Viennese popular 
comedy in the Vormaerz period between 1814/15 and 1848.
