!!!Schirach, Baldur von

b. Berlin (Germany), May 9, 1905, 
d. Kroev (Germany), Aug. 8, 1974, politician (National Socialist). As 
Reich youth leader of the NSDAP 1931-1940 and Youth Leader of the 
German Reich 1933-1940 was head of all Nazi youth organisations. 
1940-1945 Gauleiter and Reich Governor of Vienna, where he pursued an 
independent cultural policy which was not accepted by Berlin. In 1946 
sentenced to 20 years imprisonment at the Nuremberg trials in 1946 for 
participating in the deportation of Jews; served his term at 
Berlin-Spandau.
