!!!Schloßhof

Schlosshof Palace, Lower Austria, in the municipality of 
Engelhartstetten in the district of Gaenserndorf, first documented 
mention of a palace in 1413, 2-storey, 4-wing building (1672), built 
1725-1729 by J. L. von Hildebrandt for Prince Eugène and 
extended by 2 wings; stucco and ceiling paintings by C. I. 
Carlone in the chapel, in 1773-1775 when under Habsburg ownership, one 
storey and early Classicist façade added by F. A. 
Hillebrandt. 1788-1757 used as a government stud farm, 1898-1945 as a 
military riding and driving instructors´ institution, was 
claimed by Soviet occupation forces 1945-1955, has been gradually 
restored since 1984 and used for exhibitions.
