d. Vienna, Oct. 13, 1891, writer about music and composer. Founded the 
Vienna  Maennergesang-Verein (Men's Choral Society) in1843, co-founder 
of the Vienna Philharmonic Concerts (1842) and the Wiener Singakademie 
(Viennese Singing Academy).
