Schmidt-Chiari, Guido, b. Vienna, Sept. 13, 1932. Studied law in 
Vienna, became bank manager; son of Guido  Schmidt. In 1958 joined the 
 Creditanstalt-Bankverein AG, from 1971 board member and 1988-1997 
chairman of the board of the Bank.
