Schneealpe Mountain, limestone massif (plateau) of the Northern 
Limestone Alps at the border between Styria and Lower Austria (plateau 
in Styria) with Windberg (1,903 m) and Schoenhaltereck 
(1,860 m) mountains; source of the Kalte Muerz river. Connected 
with the Rax mountain via the Nasskamm mountain (1,210 m). Part 
of the catchment area of the 1%%sup st/%  Vienna Spring Water Supply 
System. Bases: Schneealpenhaus (alt. 1,784 m), Rinnhoferhuette 
(alt. 1,733 m).
