b. Lech am Arlberg, Aug. 27, 1928, racing skier. Winner of the gold 
medal in slalom and the silver medal in downhill at the Olympic Games 
in Oslo in 1952. Then ski instructor and head of ski schools in Chile 
and the USA. International success in sport pistol shooting (bronze 
medal at 1974 world championship).
