!!!Schneiderhan, Wolfgang

b. Vienna, May 28, 1915, violinist, chamber musician and virtuoso; 
husband of Irmgard  Seefried. Debut at the age of five; 1933 
concertmaster of the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra, 1937-1951 
concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, successful career 
as a soloist. 1938-1956 head of the master class at the Mozarteum in 
Salzburg, 1939-1950 taught at the Vienna Music Academy. Founded and 
directed 1937-1951 the S.-quartet, 1949-1960 trio with E. Fischer and 
E. Mainardi. Honorary member of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
