!!!Schuch, Carl

b. Vienna, Sept. 30, 1846, 
d. Vienna, Sept. 13, 1903. Landscape and still life painter, studied 
at the Vienna Academy and with L.  Halauska; several trips to Italy, 
Germany, France, Belgium and Holland, moved to Munich, where he was 
influenced by W. Leibl and W. Truebner, 1876-1882 nearly constantly in 
Venice, 1882-1894 work in Paris, where he was influenced by French 
painting and developed his late style as a painter, which was almost 
entirely detached from the object; returned to Vienna in 1894. Died in 
mental derangement.
