of World Trade in Vienna, worked for Varta 
Ges. m. b. H. business in 1955, from 1956 at IBM, from 
1977 deputy chairman; head of the board of directors of the 
Hirtenberger Patronenfabrik company; in 1981 bought  Ankerbrot AG 
company with his brother Gerhard S. 1983-1997 head of its board of 
directors; 1997 sold 74% of Ankerbrot AG to the German company 
Muellerbrot GmbH. 1993-2001 president of the board of directors of the 
Austrian Federal Railways (OeBB).
