Schwadorf, Lower Austria, market town in the district of 
Wien-Umgebung, alt. 163 m, pop. 1,692 (1981: pop. 1,488), area 
11.37 km%%sup 2/%, on the Fischa River, southeast of Vienna. 
Situated in a seismic area above a geological fault, the 
"Schwadorf Dome"; often subject to minor local earthquakes, 
last serious earthquake causing significant damage on October 8, 1927. 
- Spinning mill. - Late Gothic parish church with Baroque nave (1724) 
and Rococo interior; palace (17%%sup th/%  century), altered at the 
beginning of the 19%%sup th/%  century; plague monument (1691).
