!!!Schwarz-Gardos, Alice

b. Vienna, Aug. 31, 1915. Journalist, narrative writer and 
essayist. Cousin of B.  Frei; grew up in Vienna and Bratislava, 
emigrated to Palestine in 1940, has worked there as a journalist since 
1949. Editor-in-chief of the German daily paper "Israel Nachrichten" 
and correspondent for European papers. Her works are dedicated to the 
tragic fate of German-speaking Jews.
