official of the Chamber of Agriculture. 1981-1986 Member of the Lower 
Austrian Provincial Parliament, 1986-2000 Member of the Nationalrat, 
since 1985 president of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture, 
since 1990 chairman of the Conference of the Presidents of the 
Austrian Chambers of Agriculture.
