b. Vienna, Dec. 7, 1939 Vienna. Actor and writer. 1958-1961 
supernumerary at the Burgtheater, then actor in Basle and Freiburg im 
Breisgau, 1967-1969 in Graz, 1970-1973 and 1977-1979 at the 
Volkstheater, 1973-1976 at the Burgtheater; since 1981 freelance 
actor, besides work as stage director; until 1987 taught at the 
Reinhardt-Seminar (drama school) in Vienna; also active as a revue 
artiste, painter and organiser of summer festivals. Together with his 
wife, the actress Erika Mottl, he founded the S. company.
