b. Steinakirchen am Forst, Lower Austria, May 30, 1947, organist, 
choir conductor, composer, brother of Johann  Sengstschmid. Studied 
mathematics at the University of Vienna and music teaching and organ 
at the Vienna University of Music from 1965 to 1969. Cathedral 
''kapellmeister'' at Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria, from'' ''1974 to 
1980, since 1980 head of the Diocesan Conservatory for Church Music in 
Vienna.

Religious vocal and instrumental music in dodecaphonic style.
