b. St. Poelten (Lower Austria), Oct. 5, 1971. Violinist, Son of Johann 
 Sengstschmid. Began his studies at the Vienna University of Music 
with M.  Frischenschlager and R.  Kuechl at the age of 9. Won 
international competitions. Plays a Stradivari violin, made available 
to him by courtesy of the Austrian National Bank.
