Sessler, Thomas, Verlag GmbH, publishers of music and theatrical 
productions with headquarters in Vienna. Successor company to the 
G.-Marton-Verlag, which was founded in Budapest in 1908 and published 
the works of P. Abraham, R. Stolz and Oe. v. Horvath. Having 
escaped ´aryanisation´ in 1938, the G.-Marton-Verlag had 
become a centre of the 05 resistance group by 1945. In 1966 the 
publishing house was merged with the Thomas-Sessler-Verlag (Munich, 
founded in 1952); U. N. Schulenburg has been the sole proprietor 
since 1984. The publishing house has published the works of numerous 
important Austrian and international authors and particularly 
supported the suppressed authors of the former east-European 
countries.
