Public Security Directorates, subject to direct federal 
administration, second instance of the public security administration. 
A public security directorate exists in each federal province and is 
responsible to the Directorate-General of Public Security of the 
Federal Ministry of the Interior. The public security director of 
Vienna is at the same time president of the federal police. The public 
security directorates are entrusted with matters of the general 
security police ( Police).
