2. Sohn von [Leopold V.|AEIOU/Leopold_V.,_Habsburger,_geb._1586] und [Claudia von Medici|AEIOU/Claudia_von_Medici]. Wurde ohne Weihe 1646 Bischof von Augsburg, 1653 von Gurk und 1659 von Trient; nach dem Tod seines Bruders [Ferdinand Karl|AEIOU/Ferdinand_Karl_von_Tirol,_Erzherzog,_geb._1628] Landesfürst von Tirol; verzichtete 1665 auf kirchliche Ämter und wollte heiraten, starb aber vorher. Mit ihm erlosch die Tiroler Nebenlinie Leopolds V. im Mannesstamm.
