Skreiner, Wilfried, b. Graz (Styria), Oct. 8, 1927, d. Graz 
(Styria), April 21, 1994, studied law and art history. University 
professor and manager of the Neue Galerie at the Landesmuseum in Graz 
from 1966, member of the board of directors of the avant-garde 
festival "steirischer herbst". Outstanding achievements in promoting 
the acceptance of modern art (esp. die "Neuen Wilden" - 
´new wild art of painting´) in Styria and throughout 
Austria. Director of the trigon Biennale and numerous exhibitions.
