!!!Smaragd

Emerald: The emerald deposit in the Leckbachrinne gully of Gamseck
mountain in the Habach Valley (province of Salzburg), which was
probably discovered in the Roman Era, was regarded as Europe's only
deposit until recently. Emerald of high quality was rarely found at
this site, but Austria supplied the European market for a long time.
From an economic point of view, the extraction of emerald in the
Habach Valley had little significance. During the 20%%sup th/%
century, the emerald mine in Gamseck mountain, which was opened in
1860, was closed down due to unprofitability.
