Sollenau, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Wiener 
Neustadt, alt. 271 m, population 4,213 (1981: population 3,438), 
area 10.70 km%%sup 2/%, situated on the River Piesting, in 
Steinfeld Plain. Provincial administration office and Karl Ryker 
Village of the Lebenshilfe charity organisation, multi-purpose hall, 
Felixdorf-Sollenau waterworks; two precast concrete factories, 
beverage production, wood processing and plastics production. 
Romanesque pier basilica (13%%sup th/%  century) redecorated in 
Baroque style with square tower from the late Romanesque period, parts 
of it from late 13%%sup th/%  century.
