!!!Sophiensäle

Sophiensaele, in Vienna's 3%%sup rd/%  district: a Russian steam bath 
was built on the site in 1838; it was replaced by Sophienbad bath, 
built after the plans by E. van der  Nuell and A.  Sicard von 
Sicardsburg between 1845 and 1849; its large hall served as an indoor 
swimming pool during winter and a dance-hall during summer. Extended 
and altered in 1870, in 1886 and in 1899; since 1986 plans have been 
underway to adapt it as a hotel.
