!!!Spalt, Johannes

Spalt, Johannes, b. Gmunden (Upper Austria), Sept. 29, 1920, 
architect. Studied with C.  Holzmeister at the Academy of Fine Arts in 
Vienna, 1945-1949 independent architect in Gmunden and Vienna, 
1952-1964 member of the group of architects  Arbeitsgruppe 4, 
since 1969 studio in Vienna (partly together with F.  Kurrent); since 
1973 director of the master class for Interior Design and Industrial 
Planning at the School of Applied Art, 1975-1979 Rector. Has designed 
buildings with his own characteristic detail; numerous exhibitions and 
furniture designs (inter alia for the furnishing house 
´Wittmann´).

the church ´Salvatorkirche am Wienerfeld´, in the 
10th District of Vienna, 1976-1979; Hotel Dorint, Salzburg, 1986-1989.
