Speidel, Ludwig, b. Ulm (Germany), April 11, 1830, 
d. Vienna, Feb. 3, 1906, feature writer and theatre critic. Moved 
to Vienna in 1853 and became an important representative of Viennese 
feature writing; acute observer of contemporary art and cultural 
events; worked for the newspaper "Neue Freie Presse".
