Springer-Verlag, Vienna and New York (USA), founded in 1924, publishes 
books and 36 magazines, 22 of which are entirely or almost entirely in 
English. The main topics are: medicine, technology, information 
technology, biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, law, economics 
and philosophy (e.g. L. Wittgenstein, Vienna edition). Recently works 
on art and architecture (e.g. Raimund Abraham), the "Architektur 
aktuell" magazine and Springer-Hefte editions on contemporary art 
have been added to the company's production programme. Around 
60 % of all publications are published in English.
