St. Andrae-Woerdern, Lower Austria, market town in the district of 
Tulln, alt. 177 m, pop. 5,404, 
area 39.34 km%%sup 2/%, on the southeastern rim of the 
Tullnerfeld Plain on the edge of the Vienna Woods. - Volkshilfe 
charity, window production, trade in catering equipment, trade and 
craft. - Fortified hill-top settlement from the Bronze Age on 
Kumenberg Hill, finds from the Urnfield Culture. - Gothic hall church, 
choir (second half of the 14%%sup th/%  century), high altar 
(1730) with paintings dating from 1836.  Greifenstein Castle in the 
vicinity.
