St. Bernhard-Frauenhofen, Lower Austria, municipality in the 
district of Horn, alt. 328 m, pop. 1,197, 
area 29.47 km%%sup 2/%, village in the Taffa Valley. - 
Former Cistercian convent, closed in 1586; 1620-1773 Jesuit college, 
since 1852 owned by Klosterneuburg abbey; convent building 
(1284-1330), some parts demolished in 1809; in 1961 the chapter house 
and parts of the cloister were transferred to Klosterneuburg and 
rebuilt west of the Sebastian chapel; former convent church (today 
parish church), early Gothic nave and aisles redecorated in 1620, 
rebuilt in Baroque style around 1770.
